Attention Municipal Water Customers: Mandatory Water Restriction

Due to historically dry weather in the region, the Haines Borough Water Department is taking measures to conserve water. The Water Department will now prohibit the use of sprinkler lawn watering until further notice.

In the event of a fire situation, adequate reserves are necessary to provide fire protection.

Watering of vegetable and flower gardens will be allowed, preferably by hand or drip irrigation.
