Chilkat Bakery just called and told me that someone called there claiming to be from Haines Propane- they asked for credit card info to pay a past due bill- THIS WAS NOT US!!!! I would never call and ask for that kind of information! If anyone calls claiming to be from ANY Haines business and asks for credit card info- take note of the number if you have caller ID and hang up- it A SCAM!!! then please call HPD dispatch and let them know. Plesae Please Please share this!!!

The Friends of Mosquito Lake School Community Center is hosting a Borough Assembly Candidate Forum at 7pm on Wednesday, September 11th. This is an opportunity to meet and greet the candidates, ask questions, and voice concerns. Refreshments will be served.
An update on the junk car removal program: The Borough is working on getting all vehicles collected by September 16th. This is for vehicles already signed up, as the program has been closed to new sign-ups. If your vehicle has not been picked up by that time, check in with Public Works Superintendent Will Hickman at 314-3168.
