Next week, November 12-16th, the middle school student council will be having a Thanksgiving food drive of non-perishable boxed/canned foods which we will donate to the Salvation Army.

The Haines High School National Honor Society is doing a Clothing Exchange on Saturday, November 10th from 12 to 4 pm. We are accepting clothing donations until November 7th. Please drop off any donations at Mark Fontenot's classroom in the high school.

This Sunday, U-pik firewood open at noon, party at 3pm into the evening.
Hot drinks, hot dogs, and hot fire provided. Rounds? Chunks? Scraps? Come pick your perfect piece in the U-Pick Firewood Patch. Pay what you want (suggested donation of $50-$75 per truckload to benefit The Uglies of Haines).

Women's Christian Fellowship will meet at the Salvation Army on Saturday, November 10, at 1:00 pm. The November meeting always includes the annual Silent Auction; all proceeds will be used for the Salvation Army's holiday baskets.
If you have items to donate (new, like-new, or handmade), you may drop them off at the Salvation Army or bring them on the day of the meeting.
Practice your portraiture! Join Donna Catotti and other artists for a live portrait study at the Haines Sheldon Museum. Bring your own palette or sketch book! Friday, November 2nd from 4pm-7pm, as part of Haines First Friday. All abilities and general public welcome.
The portrait study will continue past First Friday with a second session Saturday, November 3rd from 1-4pm.
